Thermogravimetric analysis of face mask waste: Kinetic analysis via iso-conversional methods

چکیده

The surge of face mask waste in response to the global pandemic has proven be a liability environment. Microfibers from plastic constituents would cause microplastic pollution water bodies. Fortunately, these could converted into renewable source energy via thermochemical method, i.e. pyrolysis. However, studies on thermal decomposition masks and their kinetic mechanisms are not well-established. aim this paper focuses prospects pyrolysis at low high heating rates ranging 10 °C min -1 100 , cater for slow fast modes. Following this, degradation behaviour was studied thermogravimetric analysis which determined single peak temperature range 218 424 maximum rate 172.51 wt.% 520 °C, with . Flynn-Wall-Ozawa (FWO) Starink method employed determine average activation pre-exponential factor process waste. i.e., 41.31 kJ mol 0.9965, 10.43 0.9901 FWO respectively.
